Customer Marketplace Acknowledgment

This acknowledgment supplements the Terms of Service. HomeHeroLocal is a technology marketplace, not a home-service provider. Heroes are independent businesses, not HomeHeroLocal employees or agents. HomeHeroLocal does not perform, direct, supervise, inspect, endorse, or guarantee a Hero’s services and is not a party to your direct service agreement.

HomeHeroLocal does not conduct background checks and does not independently verify Hero identity, licenses, permits, registrations, insurance, experience, profile statements, or suitability. A profile, signup certification, rating, review, search result, badge, or marketplace appearance is not a HomeHeroLocal guarantee. If verification practices change, HomeHeroLocal will disclose the change prospectively in a new legal version.

You are responsible for evaluating a Hero for your project, including asking questions, checking references, and independently confirming any license, permit, insurance, identity, experience, or other requirement important to you or required by law. Requirements may differ by jurisdiction, locality, trade, and project.

You and the Hero agree directly on scope, price, schedule, materials, property access, permits, changes, cancellation, warranties, payment, refunds, and disputes. Customers currently pay Heroes outside HomeHeroLocal. HomeHeroLocal does not collect, hold, transfer, guarantee, or refund those payments. Keep copies of your estimate, direct agreement, invoice, receipt, warranty, and project records.

You are responsible for providing lawful and reasonably safe access, disclosing known site hazards relevant to the work, protecting vulnerable occupants, pets, valuables, and access credentials, and using appropriate judgment when meeting or admitting another person. HomeHeroLocal is not an emergency service; contact 911 or the appropriate authority for urgent safety conditions.

Marketplace profiles, maps, messages, price guidance, ratings, and reviews may assist your decision but may be incomplete, outdated, approximate, or supplied by users. They do not replace your own review or professional advice. Service quality, property damage, scheduling, cancellation, direct payment, refund, warranty, and workmanship disputes are principally between you and the Hero.

This acknowledgment does not waive a consumer, privacy, safety, or other right that cannot lawfully be waived, and it does not release HomeHeroLocal from responsibility for its own conduct where applicable law does not permit exclusion. The Terms govern platform availability, content, account restrictions, disclaimers, changes, and disputes involving HomeHeroLocal. Contact legal@homeherolocal.com with legal questions or notices.
