Hero Agreement

This Hero Agreement supplements the Terms of Service. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act for the business shown on your profile. You are responsible for keeping the business identity, contact information, services, service areas, availability, and qualifications accurate and current.

You operate an independent business. You are not an employee, agent, partner, franchisee, or representative of HomeHeroLocal and have no authority to bind it. Subject to law and your direct Customer agreement, you decide whether to accept work and control your pricing, schedule, methods, tools, materials, personnel, and performance. HomeHeroLocal does not direct, supervise, inspect, or guarantee your work.

You certify that you are legally authorized to offer and perform every listed service in every selected jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for required licenses, permits, registrations, bonds, insurance, taxes, business filings, trade rules, and renewals, which may differ across Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, localities, and trades. You must promptly remove or update a service if your authority or coverage changes.

HomeHeroLocal does not conduct background checks and does not independently verify your identity, licenses, permits, registrations, insurance, experience, or other qualifications. Your certification creates no HomeHeroLocal verification badge or endorsement. We may request reasonable supporting material and restrict or suspend unsupported or misleading claims. If verification practices change, HomeHeroLocal will disclose the change prospectively in a new legal version.

You contract directly with each Customer and are responsible for clear written scope, pricing, schedule, materials, access, changes, cancellation, warranty, invoice, payment, refund, and dispute terms. Customers currently pay you outside HomeHeroLocal. HomeHeroLocal does not collect or guarantee those payments and is not responsible for collection, chargebacks, financing, taxes, liens, refunds, or losses under your direct agreement.

You are responsible for lawful, safe, timely, and professional performance; site assessment; tools and materials; property protection; required permits and inspections; cleanup; and correcting or addressing your work. You are responsible for employees, helpers, subcontractors, vehicles, and anyone acting for your business, including their qualifications, supervision, wages, taxes, insurance, conduct, and legal compliance.

You must not accept work you cannot lawfully or safely perform, use the service for emergencies, make deceptive claims, discriminate unlawfully, harass or threaten users, manipulate reviews or activity, misuse private information, or circumvent marketplace security.

Use Customer information, messages, addresses, and media only to evaluate or perform an authorized request, communicate about it, maintain necessary business records, or comply with law. Protect that information and do not sell it, publish it, or use it for unrelated marketing without valid permission. The public-content license in the Terms applies only to content you deliberately submit for public display; private messages and media may be processed only for the limited private-interaction purposes stated there. You represent that you have all necessary rights.

HomeHeroLocal does not promise leads, requests, jobs, Customers, ranking, reviews, earnings, payment, uninterrupted access, or any business result. Free-beta access and future package preferences are governed by the current product terms; a package preference is not a purchase, recurring-payment authorization, or promise of future paid service. HomeHeroLocal may restrict access under the Terms, including for safety, fraud, noncompliance, unsupported claims, or service discontinuation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HomeHeroLocal LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, and service providers from third-party claims, losses, judgments, penalties, and reasonable legal costs arising from your services; your personnel; bodily injury or property damage caused by you or your personnel; your breach of a Customer agreement or this Hero Agreement; your content; false or misleading statements; taxes or worker obligations; or your violation of law or another person’s rights.

This responsibility does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by HomeHeroLocal’s own breach or conduct for which indemnification is prohibited by law. HomeHeroLocal will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim and may participate in its defense. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by or imposes an obligation on HomeHeroLocal without written consent.

Maintain records reasonably needed for your business and direct Customer agreements. Ending your account does not cancel an accepted Customer agreement, payment, tax, warranty, confidentiality, safety, indemnity, or other accrued obligation. The Terms of Service, including its disclaimers, limitations, governing-law, and change provisions, are incorporated into this Agreement.
